Day 01 :
Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization
- Arrival: Leh Airport (Altitude: 11,500 ft)
- Transfer: Private cab or hotel shuttle to your hotel (10–15 min)
- Accommodation: Hotel/resort in Leh
- Activities:
- Rest for the day to acclimatize to high altitude.
- Gentle walk to Leh Market in the evening.
- Visit small cafes for local tea and snacks.
- Meals:
- Breakfast: N/A (depending on flight)
- Lunch: At hotel or local café
- Dinner: Leh traditional cuisine – try thukpa or momos
Day 02 :
Leh Local Sightseeing
- Activities & Attractions:
- Shanti Stupa – Sunrise recommended for photography; panoramic view of Leh.
- Leh Palace – 9-story palace; great views of Leh town.
- Sankar Monastery – Small but peaceful monastery.
- Optional: Namgyal Tsemo Monastery – famous for the 3-story high Maitreya Buddha statue.
- Distance & Travel: Most sites are within 5–10 km of Leh; 15–20 min drive each.
- Meals:

- Lunch: Local café or dhaba
- Dinner: Hotel or Leh market restaurant
- Evening Activity: Leisure walk in Leh Bazaar, shop for souvenirs like Pashmina shawls, prayer flags, and local handicrafts.
Day 03 :
Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La
- Distance & Travel: ~120 km, 5–6 hours
- Route: Leh → Khardung La Pass → Diskit (Nubra Valley)
- Activities:
- Stop at Khardung La Pass (5,359 m / 17,582 ft) – one of the highest motorable passes in the world.
- Visit Diskit Monastery – see the giant Buddha statue.
- Evening leisure at Nubra Valley camp or guesthouse.
- Meals:
- Breakfast: Hotel in Leh
- Lunch: Roadside dhaba en route
- Dinner: Camp/guesthouse
Day 04 :
Nubra Valley Exploration – Hunder & Turtuk
- Activities:
- Visit Hunder Sand Dunes – camel rides on double-humped Bactrian camels.
- Explore Sumur Village – local monastery and culture.
- Visit Turtuk Village (optional, near Pakistan border) – experience Balti culture and homegrown apricots.
- Distance & Travel: Diskit to Hunder (15 km), Diskit to Turtuk (~90 km, 3 hours)
- Meals:
- Breakfast: Camp/guesthouse
- Lunch: Local café or packed lunch during excursions
- Dinner: Camp, enjoy local cuisine
Day 05 :
Nubra Valley – Leh
- Distance & Travel: ~120 km, 5–6 hours
- Route: Nubra Valley → Khardung La → Leh
- Activities:
- Stop for photos at scenic viewpoints along the way.
- Return to Leh in the afternoon.
- Evening Activity:
- Optional: Visit Leh Market again or relax at the hotel.
- Meals:
- Breakfast: Camp/guesthouse
- Lunch: On the way
- Dinner: Hotel
Day 06 :
Leh – Pangong Lake
- Distance & Travel: ~150 km, 5–6 hours
- Route: Leh → Chang La Pass → Pangong Lake
- Activities:
- Visit Chang La Pass (5,360 m / 17,590 ft).
- Explore the turquoise waters of Pangong Lake.
- Evening: Capture sunset and reflections on the lake.
- Accommodation: Lakeside camp/tent
- Meals:
- Breakfast: Hotel in Leh
- Lunch: Roadside café or packed lunch
- Dinner: Camp
Day 07 :
Pangong Lake – Leh
- Distance & Travel: ~150 km, 5–6 hours
- Morning:
- Sunrise photography at Pangong Lake.
- Enjoy breakfast at camp.
- Activities:
- Drive back to Leh.
- Optional stops at Thiksey Monastery or Shey Palace en route.
- Evening:
- Farewell dinner at Leh; try local Ladakhi dishes
- AC Policy: Air conditioning will be turned off during hill drives.
- Taxes: Any increase in government taxes will be borne by the customer.
- Vehicle Use: The vehicle is provided only as per the itinerary (not on standby or disposal basis).
- Extra Usage: Charges for additional kilometers or hours beyond the itinerary are payable directly to the transport provider.
- Personal expenses: tips, porters, camera fees, entrance tickets, etc.
- Meals or services not listed in the package inclusions.
- Any items or services not explicitly mentioned under “Inclusions.”
- Costs incurred for deviations from the itinerary or extensions of service validity are not included.
- Vehicle Capacity: Up to 3 adults in a Sedan, 5 in an MUV/SUV. Tempo Travellers operate as per standard capacity.
- Fixed Itinerary: The itinerary is pre-defined and non-modifiable.
- Transport Rules: Transportation is strictly as per the itinerary and will not be available at disposal unless stated otherwise andall transfers and sightseeing will be via exclusive vehicle, unless otherwise noted.
- Itinerary Changes: India Expedition reserves the right to revise the itinerary due to circumstances such as strikes, weather, overbookings, or other force majeure events.
- Liability: In case of changes, India Expedition will try to provide alternatives but is not responsible for any compensation or refunds.
